Cemento non Cemento

Cemento non Cemento

What is it

CEMENTO NON CEMENTO is an innovative and refined system of materials that exceeds for simplicity, reliability and even beauty the use of traditional cement in the most advanced interior and exterior projects.

The skilful use of fibers and natural elements in the continuous search for eco-sustainability with zero emissions is the distinctive feature in the production of coating materials or construction and furnishing components.
Stability, reliability, ease of use and beauty are the properties that make Cemento non Cemento one of the most interesting materials for designers.

Cemento non Cemento is made in panels, such as CONCLAD®, CONCREO® and BRUTO®, for applications sophisticated and always reliable. because they are produced in the factory, subjected to strict quality controls, usable with extreme ease: cut, glued, milled, joined and worked with the same techniques, machinery and tools and also the same hardware used for wood.

CONCLAD® is mainly intended for wall cladding, with a wide range of finishes and the possibility of customization in color.

CONCREO® is more aimed at creating furniture and worktops with an extremely high stain resistance despite its very natural materiality.
Both panels are in homogeneous solid mass very similar to poured concrete and are worked with extreme ease: they are cut, glued, milled, joined and worked with the same techniques, the same machinery and tools and the same hardware used for wood.

BRUTO®, with the strength of its portland concrete surface is also suitable for floor and outside applications, even for façade cladding. Its processing is simple, with the techniques and tools of carpentry or even with the use of tungsten or diamond blades.

Cemento non Cemento is also a service, like CONCOVER®, original treatment applicable to any materials and objects of any shape and size.

“…
it is a material that knows how to excite for its natural beauty, and the simplicity with which one works is surprising”

Its Story

The first concept of product was introduced to the community of Architects and Interior Design at the Triennale in Milan during Design Week 2014, matching the taste and interest of the most qualified Architects and Interior designers around the world, giving encouragement to its creators to proceed in research and development.

After a year, in 2015, it was born the first product, called Concreo. Firstly introduced on the Italian market and subsequently available also for international operators, it was validated since the beginning by top professionals and prestigious institutions including the Centre George Pompidou of Paris and the Assosiacion of Architects in Florence, who have been among the first adopting Concreo in their own representative spaces.

The following year, in May 2016, the second concrete product, Conclad, was introduced to the operators, as a more accessible product where the high level of Concreo was over-sized in terms of compactness and stain resistance, giving birth to Cemento non Cemento System.

In 2018 the product range has been enriched by Concover, a process which allows to apply a CEMENTO NON CEMENTO coating on every single surface, of any material and shape.
In 2022 Bruto becomes part of the CNC system, a material inspired to Brutalism, that combines the elasticity of wood with the hardness and beauty of exposed concrete, produced in panels. For its strength Bruto can also be used on the floor and for external cladding.

Despite the short history, CEMENTO NON CEMENTO already boasts collaborations with top-level architectural firms on projects of international importance, with brands such as Calvin Klein, Pal Zileri, Céline by Luis Vuitton and Marcolin, Max&Co, Under Armour, L’Occitante, Ray Ban, Maserati, Napapijri just to illustrate some names in the trade, as well as hotels, restaurants and prestigious private houses. Shared point in each project: the full customer satisfaction, that the product is highly reliable and fully responds to the features and expectations promised.

Sustainability

CNC System materials are ecological, biocompatible, without asbestos, formaldehyde or any other dangerous substance, fire-resistant and, with specific treatments, stain-resistant. These results are achieved using production techniques and compounds that scrupulously respect all the highest standards of Environmental Impact Assessment deposited for each production site and for a global sustainability difficult to compare to companies of the same size or in similar products.

No use of pollutting materials nor nano-technologies, paying attention to the protection of the environment and the health of the worker. The data resulting from the test “Volatile organic compounds from construction and finishing products”, according to UNI EN ISO 16000-9:2006 + ISO 16000-6:2011, objectively prove the high quality levels achieved, placing CEMENTO NON CEMENTO among the most sustainable materials in the market.

The data resulting from the VOC Test UNI EN ISO 16000-9:2006 + ISO 16000-6:2011 objectively document the high quality levels achieved, which place CNC materials among the most eco-sustainable on the market.
