CEMENTO NON CEMENTO STORY
Cemento non Cemento is the easiest and most immediate way to approach the use of concete in interior design. It is a concrete-free innovative material, zero emissions, made of natural fibers and elements, provided in panels, in solid state very similar to a cast-cement.
The innovative material Cemento non Cemento has been introduced for the first time as a concept to the most important design players at the Triennale of Milano, during the Milan Design Week 2014. Named Concreo, the concept immediately met the taste and the interest of the most quoted Architects and Interior Designers which encouraged the inventors to go ahead with the product development.
In 2015 Concreo entered the market starting from Italy and progressively approaching the international level, being since soon validated by top level players and prestigious istitutions, among which The Centre George Pompidou in Paris and the Architects Association in Florence, which adopted Concreo to furnish their official buildings.
In May 2016 Gemin Srl presented to professionals and distribution players Conclad,the second product made in Cemento non Cemento matching the market request for a panel spedific for the vertical claddings, were the top level of Concreo in terms of compactness and stain resistance was even overdimensioned.
Every woodworker can easy approach Concreo and Conclad as they can be processed with same tools as for wood, to create a sophisticated setting by wall claddings, furniture , lighting and home accessories, having an amazing and refined aesthetic impact.
Concreo and Conclad are ecologic, biocompatible, asbestos and formaldheyd free, fire restistant and Concreo also waterproof and stain resistant.
Concreo and Conclad are environmentally friendly, biocompatible, with neither asbestos nor formaldehyde nor any substance classified as dangerous, resistant to fire and, for Concreo, also waterproof and stain-resistant. These results are achieved by using production techniques and ingredients that scrupulously respect all the highest standards of Environmental Impact Assessment deposited for each production site, for a global sustainability that is difficult to compare in companies of same dimension or in similar products. No use of concrete nor its derivatives or similar resins, with consequent total absence of CO2 emissions in the environment and in the atmosphere, the easy short-cut of nano-technologies for stain-resistant treatments is not used, to avoid any doubts about the absolute innocuousness dust resulting from the production or processing of the finished product, for the full protection of the environment and the health of workers. The data reported in "Volatile organic compounds from construction and finishing products" tested according to UNI EN ISO 16000-9: 2006 + ISO 16000-6: 2011 objectively documents the high levels of quality achieved, which place Cemento non Cemento among the more sustainable materials in the ares.
